Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Psalm 100:1-3

We have great reason to rejoice!

On June 24th, 2022, The Supreme Court corrected the errors of both Roe and Casey by recognizing there is no right to abortion in the constitution of the United States.

This is a great answer to years of prayers for our country, our people, and the children.

As a congregation, we believe that God created humanity to be special and distinct from all of creation. The Bible tells us that God made us uniquely in His own image (Genesis 1:26-27).

We were created to have a special relationship with God. As image-bearers of God, all people have a capacity for redemption that gives value to the life of every man, woman, and child (Genesis 9:6; James 3:9; 1 Peter 2:17).

Our creation in God’s image constitutes the reason why Christ died for us. Humanity was worth redeeming. The lost sheep, the lost piece of money, and the lost son were worth the effort to seek and save (Luke 15).

Christ’s death for us revealed the infinite worth of the human soul and taught us to count all people as brethren for whose salvation we may well give up our lives.

As a congregation, we have long cherished and revered the sanctity of human life. The sanctity of human life means that all people are to be loved, defended, and valued.

  • This is why we have closely partnered with Life’s Choices Women’s Clinic of Lake County to love and help mothers, fathers and their precious families choose life.

  • This is why we have closely worked with Florida Baptist Children’s Homes to nurture and support children of all ages.

  • This is why we have partnered with Lake Cares Food Pantry to help provide local families with the food that they need to nourish their loved ones.

  • This is why we have held Mission Mount Dora to help children, families, and local schools with clothing and educational needs.

  • All of these ministries that we have been involved in will now be needed more than ever. This means that we will need to pray, work, give and volunteer even more in the coming years.

Our Work Is Far From Done.

We have confidence that our work is in Christ and has been prepared beforehand by God’s perfect wisdom (Ephesians 2:10).

Christ has all authority in heaven and on earth and is always with us (Matthew 28:18-20).

We can therefore say “We proclaim Him, admonishing every person and teaching every person with all wisdom, so that we may present every person complete in Christ. For this purpose I also labor, striving according to His power which works mightily within me.” Colossian 1:28-29

In Galatians 6:9, Paul wrote, “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”.

In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul likewise encourages the church “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

Beloved, we are assured that we will indeed reap for Christ and that our labor is not in vain.

The perfect love of Father has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit that

we might present Christ the Savior to the world.

To God be the glory!
